Rehab Academic and Mentorship Program (RAMP)

The UCI Rehab Academic and Mentorship Program (RAMP) is a 2-week intensive program for undergraduate college students interested in rehabilitation services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy) as a career.

This program aims to provide an enriching experience for students through shadowing therapists in various settings, participating in lectures on important rehabilitation topics, and preparing for graduate school application with guided mentorship. Through the program, students will develop a stronger understanding of therapy and its role in the healthcare system, as well as build connections at a world class teaching hospital.

An outstanding candidate for this program will meet the following criterion:

  • Currently be enrolled in a 4-year university (sophomore and juniors preferred)
  • Minimum 3.3 GPA
  • Motivated and eager to learn about all rehab discipline
  • Volunteer experience in hospital setting a plus, but not required
  • Commit to M-F for 2 weeks, 8 hours a day
